Qualifications: Diploma of Fine Arts with Honours
Brian Strong was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and studied at
the University of Canterbury, gaining a Diploma in Fine Arts with
Honours. His career has predominantly been as a tutor of art. Painting
however has always been a large part of Brian Strong's life for over
45 years.

Brian welcomes visitors to his Studio and Gallery, which is nestled in a stunning garden setting in
the heart of Nelson.
The Studio/Gallery is open everyday from 10.30am - 4.30pm, or visit

Exhibitions and Collections
Brian Strong has exhibited throughout New Zealand since 1965. He has a number of paintings in public
and corporate collections throughout New Zealand as well as being represented in private collections
in Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, France and the United States of
America.
